Forage Aid is the charity that supports farmers whose livestock has been affected by an extreme weather event by providing forage and/or bedding to those in need.

We source forage and bedding from donations and pledges from within the farming community, then distribute it to those whose own supply of feed has been destroyed or made inaccessible due to the weather.

Forage Aid supports its first livestock farm of the winter following a testing summer

In early November Forage Aid launched its first appeal of the winter for donations of forage and fodder to come forward as we made efforts to support a livestock farm badly affected by the drought earlier in the year. The farm business had real challenges with grass growth over the summer months which put pressure on grazing and ultimately meant the business was unable to make forage for the winter months.
