Cumbria Operation Draws to a Close

Friday, July 15, 2016

With the horrendous Cumbria floods thankfully behind us, we now feel it is a good time to draw our mission there to a close.  With this in mind, we now no longer require or are collecting any forage or straw supplies that have been or could be made available. The amount of pledges offered has been overwhelming and we thank you all for your patience and generosity at such a fragile and fraught time.

We are proud to announce that Spirit of Cumbria Award for Agriculture was awarded to our Regional Coordinator, Graham Hogg plus volunteers, Paul Winder and Shaun Hodgson for their sterling work during the crisis.  They collected the award on behalf of Forage Aid and it goes without saying that this is a huge achievement and we are very honoured to have won.

Finally, on behalf of us all at Forage Aid and the farmers who we have been able to help, we would like to take this opportunity once again to thank each and every one of you who have offered us support in any way. We couldn't have achieved so much without the support from you all.
