Get Involved

Though we’re very proud that we represent ‘farmers helping farmers’ in reality our work involves pulling together many other members of the wider community too.

Without the wonderful people who fundraise, volunteer their time and offer their support in countless other ways Forage Aid simply wouldn’t be able to deliver what is needed.

I thought: I can do something. I can donate my time. Philip, Yorkshire

And it’s not just individuals. We’ve been helped by businesses including Tesco, HSBC Bank, Househam Sprayers, Syngenta, BASF, Agrii, Simba Great Plains, Monsanto, CF Fertilisers, JCB, Branston Limited, Cam Grain, Crediton Mill, Mole Valley Farmers, Smart Agricultural Services, Bigwoods Agri, Ripon Farm Services, Bailey Trailers, ARLA UK, Chanders FE and Compass Tractors … as well as hundreds of independent farmers, YFC members, the hunting fraternity and businesses local to each crisis, not only with haulage, forage and bedding supply, but also through loans of machinery and logistical support of deliveries to affected farms.

Of course, you can also record a pledge for future donations of bedding or fodder which can be called upon in times of need, or make a cash donation – to do either of there click here.

Take a look below for ideas on you can get involved or contact us for more information.

Needed now!

We are currently looking for volunteers to be regional co-ordinators who will called upon in times of crisis. If you have a good working knowledge of agriculture and want to help farmers during times of emergency please find out more here.

We are also currently seeking hauliers to work closely with our haulage logistics co-ordinator and regional co-ordinators on the ground, wherever a crisis may be. If you have a good understanding of the farming industry and the ability to cover National or specific geographical areas and to mobilise quickly please find out more here.

Volunteer

There is always a need for ‘more hands on deck’ – whether that’s behind the scenes, getting your hands dirty on a regular basis or just in times of crisis. If you would like to volunteer with Forage Aid please contact us.

Fundraise

As you can imagine, finding sufficient funds to keep Forage Aid going is an ongoing concern. Over the years we’ve been helped enormously by the fundraising efforts of groups and individuals, so if you’d like to talk to us about helping us in this way please contact us.

Young Farmers Clubs across the UK are offered the chance to compete for the Forage Aid Trophy by raising funds for our charity. If you’d like to get involved please find out more here.

Corporate

We’ve forged many hugely rewarding relationships with businesses large and small, local and national – please read more here. If you think that your business may be able to work with us in some way to achieve our aims we’d be very pleased to hear from you, so please contact us.

Many thanks to Emma Stoner and Jason Bryant for letting us use their images throughout our site.
