YFC Forage Aid Trophy

Your heroic fundraising helps us to keep helping farmers and livestock in need. To encourage such efforts every year we present a trophy to the Young Farmers’ Club that raises the most money for Forage Aid.

UK Young Farmers Clubs are asked to compete to win the annual Forage Aid Trophy which is presented at the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs‘ Annual General Meeting.

Forage Aid Trustee Ed Ford says: “We encourage all Young Farmers’ Clubs to consider fundraising for our charity, and competing for the Forage Aid Trophy, when putting together their club programmes for the year.”

In recent years fundraising events have included a tractor run, race night, carol service, carol singing and Christmas quiz, – and even a group tackling the 3 Peaks Challenge.

Previous Forage Aid Trophy winners include Teme Valley YFC, Wix YFC and Terrington YFC, with the combined efforts of participating clubs raising thousands of pounds for our charity.

The fundraising year runs from 1st September —31st August and donations should be received by Forage Aid by 31st September of the same year. All clubs fundraising for Forage Aid should notify us by email at [email protected].

In clubs competing for the trophy are encouraged to request a talk from one of our trustees to present the fantastic work which has been achieved to help farmers in crisis. This can be at club, county or area level. To arrange this please email [email protected].
